ABC Announces Roseanne Reboot, Starring Majority of Original Cast

After months of speculation, ABC has finally announced that a Roseanne reboot is in the works, with the majority of the original cast set to return. The reboot will consist of nine episodes and will air in 2018.

Barr Not Involved in Reboot

However, there is one notable absence from the reboot: Roseanne Barr. Barr was fired from the original series in May 2018 after she made a racist tweet. ABC has said that Barr will not be involved in the reboot in any capacity.

Other Cast Members Returning

The rest of the original cast, including John Goodman, Laurie Metcalf, Sara Gilbert, and Michael Fishman, are all set to return for the reboot. The show will also feature some new characters, including a granddaughter played by Ames McNamara.

Reboot to Address Barr's Absence

ABC has not yet revealed how the reboot will address Barr's absence. However, it is likely that the show will acknowledge her departure in some way.

Reboot Expected to Be a Success

The Roseanne reboot is expected to be a success. The original series was a huge hit, and the cast is still very popular. ABC is also hoping that the reboot will help to boost ratings for the network.
