What happened?
Arsenal U21s suffered a disappointing 3-5 defeat to Aston Villa U21s in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday.
Goals
Villa took the lead through Cameron Archer in the 15th minute, but Arsenal equalized through Khayon Edwards just five minutes later.
Villa regained the lead in the 30th minute through Jaden Philogene-Bidace, but Arsenal again leveled through Alfie Matthews just before half-time.
Villa took control of the game in the second half, with Philogene-Bidace completing his hat-trick in the 55th minute.
Jacob Ramsey added a fourth for Villa in the 65th minute, and Carney Chukwuemeka made it 5-2 in the 75th minute.
Arsenal pulled a goal back through Charles Sagoe Jr. in the 85th minute, but it was not enough to prevent a defeat.
